Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and/or swallowing disorders in our diverse client population. The successful candidate will work closely with children between the ages of 3 to 21 and their families to improve their speech and language skills, enhance their communication abilities, and address any related issues. Work environments include on site in our clinic space and offsite at schools, daycares, and in clients homes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide therapy to individuals with various communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Keep detailed and accurate records of client progress and treatment plans.

  • Stay current with advances in the field through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and New York state licensure.

  • New York State Teaching Certificate.

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
